Called Pestecute Pest and Wild Life Management early this morning and was able to have someone come out the same day to trap rodents that had entered our house. They filled access holes and placed baits in the roof. Very friendly and knowledgeable and no longer feel I need to burn the house to the ground! I would 100% recommend.

Over the last two days, we were visited at night by a possum or a rat, who came into our house from the ceiling space via a previously unknown enlarged hole in a wall in our kitchen. Feasted on two apples in our fruit bowl. See pictures. Contacted Patrick Hart of Pestecute Caloundra. He offered to come within 2 hours. Sent him pictures of the bite marks on the apples — and he confidently predicted that it was a rat, not a possum. Agreed on a fair price. On arrival, he confirmed that it was a rat via the faeces near the wall. He fixed the chewed hole in the interior kitchen wall, glued and screwed a strong cover over it, and made sure to put some rat ‘food’ eg rat poison in the wall space. Then checked the ceiling and placed some rat baiting stations up there; then did a walk around the house to ensure there were no likely entry points. Total time was about 1 hour. Patrick was very kind and professional. In minutes he was able to capture a bush turkey in our yard in a very safe way where the turkey was completely unharmed and not in any distress. Patrick also gave us advice to keep them out in future, as well as noticed we had funnel ants in our yard - very knowledgeable.
