How a Pestecute treatment works
- Book a timeCall 0437 238 277 or send a quote request. Same-day visits depend on availability.
- Inspection firstWe walk the property with you and ask what you’ve been seeing, so the treatment targets the right pests.
- TreatmentInside, outside and the roof space, with spray, dust and gel. You’ll need to be out of the house for about 30 minutes.
- AftercareYou’ll see more insects for a few days, dead ones. That’s the treatment working.
- Every yearTreat again at the start of each summer to keep your rolling 12-month warranty.
Why every year?
The products we use are synthetic and designed to break down in sunlight, for environmental reasons. Outdoors, UV starts weakening them after about six months. In dark places like roof voids they last far longer, and underground termite barriers last around six years.
That’s why we recommend an annual treatment, and why our 12-month warranty rolls on for customers who treat every year.

Pest control questions we get asked
How much does pest control cost on the Sunshine Coast?
General pest control with Pestecute starts from $157, including GST. The final price depends on the size of your home, up to about $400 for a large house, and we confirm a fixed price before we start. Customers who treat every year also get a rolling 12-month warranty.
Is pest control cheaper for a unit than a house?
Yes. The price depends on the size of the home, so units cost less than large houses. A three-bedroom unit is around $180, while large homes are up to about $400. Every treatment still covers inside, outside and the roof space where there is one, and we confirm a fixed price before we start.
What does the general pest treatment include?
Every general pest treatment covers the inside, outside and roof space of your home. It targets cockroaches, spiders, silverfish and household ants, using a combination of spray, dust and gel so each pest is treated where it lives. Cockroach gel goes in kitchens and bathrooms, and rodent control can be added for a small extra cost.
How often should I get pest control in Queensland?
Once a year, ideally at the start of summer, when pests come out of hibernation and start breeding. The products we use are designed to break down in sunlight for environmental reasons, so outdoors they lose strength after about six months. An annual treatment tops up the protection and keeps your rolling 12-month warranty going.
Is pest control safe for my kids and pets?
Yes, when label directions are followed. We use professional products registered for use in occupied homes and apply them where pests live and travel. Keep children and pets off treated areas until the product has dried, and tell us about your pets before we start.
What should I do before and after a pest treatment?
Before we start, tell us which pests you’ve been seeing so we can target them. You, your family and your pets need to be out of the house for about 30 minutes during the treatment. Afterwards, keep children and pets off treated areas until they’ve dried. For a few days you’ll see more insects, dead ones: the treatment flushes them out of hiding.
What happens if the pests come back?
Customers who have their home treated every year get a rolling 12-month warranty. If pests come back between annual treatments, call us and we’ll come back under the warranty. The warranty keeps rolling as long as you book your treatment each year, which is also the best way to stop pests settling in. Call 0437 238 277 if you’re seeing them again.
Does general pest control cover termites?
No. Termites live underground and eat timber from the inside out, so they need their own inspection and treatment. A termite inspection starts from $250 and a termite treatment from $300. We recommend booking both pest control and a termite inspection every year.
Do you do pest control for rentals and end of lease?
Yes. We treat rental homes as well as owner-occupied ones. When tenants with pets move out, most leases require a flea treatment: ours starts from $157, covers inside and outside, and comes with a 2-month warranty for the agent. See end-of-lease pest control for what agents and tenants need.
How do you get rid of cockroaches in an apartment?
We treat your unit inside and out, with cockroach gel in the kitchen and bathrooms where they shelter and feed. Cockroaches can move between units through shared walls and plumbing, so if neighbours have them too, ask your body corporate about treating the whole building at the same time. Unit treatments start from $157. More about cockroach control.
What our customers say
We chose Pestecute because a friend told us of the great job they did on their house. Very professional and knowledgable, their work was excellent. We have not seen creepy crawlies since a week after they came.
