Possums are social and territorial, and live in family structures. A possum moved into another possum’s territory won’t survive, so it’s released close to home, where it has other nests to use, once the roof is sealed. That’s why proofing matters: without it, the possum simply comes back the same way it got in.

We’ll get up in the roof and identify the droppings (scats). Possums are nocturnal: they leave at dusk and come back before dawn, so you hear them in the evening and early morning.
